Remove the "Built with Kite" Badge
By default, sites built with Kite show a small "Built with Kite" badge. Removing it is a paid-plan benefit. This page explains who can remove the badge and how to do it.
What the badge is
The badge is a small "Built with Kite" mark that appears on your published site. It helps spread the word about Kite and shows up automatically on free sites.
Who can remove the badge
Removing the badge requires a paid plan. If you're on the free option, you'll need to upgrade first. See Plans & Free Trial.
How to remove the badge
Once you're on an eligible paid plan:
- Make sure your plan is active. Check Billing (
/billing) if you're not sure. See Manage, Cancel, or Downgrade Your Subscription. - Find the badge or branding setting in your site settings and turn the badge off.
- Re-publish your site so the change goes live. See How to Publish.
The badge may stay visible on your live site until you re-publish. Publishing again pushes the updated, badge-free version out to your visitors.
Troubleshooting
I upgraded but the badge is still there. Re-publish your site first — changes (including badge removal) usually go live only after you publish again. See How to Publish.
I re-published and it's still showing. Your browser may be showing a cached version. Try a hard refresh or check in a private/incognito window. See Changes Not Showing.
It still won't go away after upgrading and re-publishing. Contact support and let them know you're on a paid plan but the badge remains. They can check your account.
The badge came back after it was gone. This can happen if your paid plan ended or you downgraded. See Manage, Cancel, or Downgrade Your Subscription.
