Plans, Pricing & Credits
Kite combines two simple ideas: a plan that unlocks features (like custom domains and badge removal), and credits that power the AI as it builds and edits your site. This section explains how both work so there are no surprises on your bill.
How Kite pricing works
Kite pricing has two parts that work together:
- Plan tiers — Your plan sets what your account can do. There's a free option to get started, plus paid plans that unlock features like connecting your own domain and removing the "Built with Kite" badge.
- Credits (the AI token model) — Every time the AI builds or edits your site, it uses credits. Bigger or more complex changes use more. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and you can buy top-up credits if you need more.
Think of your plan as your toolbox and your credits as the fuel. You need both to keep building.

Common questions
Do I need a paid plan to try Kite? No. You can start building on the free option and upgrade when you're ready. See Plans & Free Trial.
What's the difference between a plan and credits? Your plan unlocks features; credits power the AI. You can run out of credits while still keeping your plan, and you can buy more credits without changing plans.
Where do I change my plan or payment method? In your billing settings. See Manage, Cancel, or Downgrade Your Subscription.
