Team Access
Kite is built for teams. One plan covers everyone, with no per-seat charge. This page explains who can do what.
Slack membership and Kite team membership
Anyone in a Slack channel where Kite works can ask it for work, reply to its drafts, and give it the OK. That includes Slack guests and external users in shared channels.
Being in the channel does not by itself make someone a member of your Kite team. To use the browser workspace (the editor, integrations, analytics, billing), a teammate links their Slack identity by clicking the Connect Kite account button Kite offers, or a team owner or admin adds them.
Roles
Your Kite team has three roles:
- Owner. Everything, including billing: plan changes, buying credits, and invoices. A team can have several owners, and an owner can promote others.
- Admin. Everything except billing. Admins can add members and move sites between teams.
- Member. Full use of Kite in Slack and the website editor.
The person who installed Kite in Slack does not have to be an owner. Installing Slack and managing billing can be different people.
Kite and your first marketing hire
Kite gives a founder or a lean team marketing capacity before there is a dedicated marketer on staff, and it works alongside that person once there is. When you make your first marketing hire, add them to the channel and to the team. Kite's research, initiatives, and history of shipped work are there for them from day one.
