Login & Sign Up

You sign in to Kite with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password to remember and no "sign in with Slack." This page covers creating your account, adding Kite to Slack, linking a teammate's Slack identity, and what to do when a sign-in step does not go as planned.

Create your account and sign in​

  1. Go to kite.ai and select Get started or Login.
  2. Choose Continue with Google, or enter your email and type the one-time code Kite sends you.
  3. You land in the browser workspace, and a 5-day Growth trial starts automatically. See Plans & Pricing.
Use the same identity every time

Sign in with the same Google account or email address each time. A different email (even a small typo or a different provider) looks like a brand-new account and a brand-new team.

Add Kite to Slack​

Once you are signed in, click Add me to Slack and follow the steps in Add Kite to Slack. The install is done by a signed-in team member; it does not create the account.

Connect a teammate's Slack identity​

Anyone in the channel can talk to Kite. To give a teammate access to the browser workspace as well, they click the Connect Kite account button Kite offers in Slack, or a team owner or admin adds them to the team. See Team access.

Troubleshooting​

The one-time code did not arrive​

  • Check your spam or junk folder.
  • Wait a minute before requesting another. Codes can take a moment to arrive, and each new request replaces the last code.
  • Make sure you typed the right email.
  • If nothing arrives after a few minutes, open Chat with us on kite.ai.

"Session has already ended" or login errors when you return​

  • Start the login again from kite.ai rather than reloading an old page.
  • Close any stale tabs left open from a previous session.
  • Sign in fresh in a single, new tab.

Kite is in Slack but you cannot open the browser workspace​

Click the Connect Kite account button in Slack to link your Slack identity to the team, or ask a team owner or admin to add you. If you are not sure who that is, open Chat with us with your Slack workspace name.

Still cannot get in?​

Open Chat with us on kite.ai and include the email address you sign in with and your Slack workspace name.
