Preview Won't Load

The preview pane is where you see your site as you build it. When it won't load, it's usually a temporary glitch — not a problem with your actual website. This is the most common issue people run into, and the fixes below clear it up in most cases.

Symptoms

  • The preview pane keeps spinning and never finishes loading.
  • You see a "Failed to load preview" message, or it times out.
  • The preview is completely blank or white.
  • Your design options or layout don't render the way you expect.

Cause

Almost always, this is a temporary loading problem — a slow connection, a momentary server hiccup, a browser extension getting in the way, or a stale browser session. The underlying site and its data are still there and safe. The preview just couldn't draw itself this time.

Your site is safe

A preview that won't load does not mean you've lost your work. Your project, content, and any data behind it are stored separately from the preview window.

Fixes — try these in order

  1. Refresh the page. This is the single most effective fix. Reload your browser tab and give the preview a moment to rebuild.
  2. Wait a minute, then retry. If a server was briefly busy, a short wait often clears it. Refresh again after waiting.
  3. Reopen the project. Go back to your dashboard, then open the project again from the start. This loads a fresh editor session.
  4. Try a different browser, or disable extensions. Ad blockers, privacy tools, and other browser extensions can block parts of the preview. Open your project in a different browser (or a private/incognito window, which usually disables extensions) to see if that helps.
  5. Check your internet connection. A weak or dropping connection can stall the preview. Reconnect to a stable network and refresh.
  6. Contact support if it persists. If the preview still won't load after a long time and several tries, reach out to support and include your app URL, what you tried, and a screenshot of the error.
tip

If only your design options won't render but the rest of the preview works, a refresh or a different browser usually fixes it.
